At Pula Golf Resort, we have redefined sustainable tourism, proving that environmental respect and hospitality excellence can go hand in hand. Our commitment to regenerating the environment, using resources efficiently, and making a positive impact on the community led us to become the first resort in Spain to obtain ARC360 certification under the Competitive Regenerative Hotel model.
However, we do not settle for merely minimising our environmental footprint. We strive to create a positive impact on our surroundings, strengthening the local economy, protecting the ecosystem, and setting a new standard in the tourism and golf industry.
Our Commitment to Sustainability
Since our beginnings, we have integrated sustainable practices into our management, embracing a tourism model that not only preserves the planet but actively regenerates it. Our initiatives are aligned with the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda and the Global Compact principles, ensuring an ethical, responsible, and transparent management approach.
Responsible Water Management and Green Energy
One of the greatest challenges in the hospitality and golf industry is water usage, a scarce resource in many regions. For this reason, we have implemented a recycled water irrigation system, allowing us to maintain our golf course in pristine condition without wasting natural resources.
In addition, we are committed to renewable energy, incorporating solar panels, geothermal, and aerothermal energy to reduce our energy consumption and significantly lower our carbon footprint. With every step we take, we move closer to our goal of becoming a 100% sustainable resort.
Zero-Kilometre Gastronomy and Circular Economy
Our commitment to sustainability is also reflected in our gastronomy. At S’Era de Pula, our restaurant, we serve locally sourced and seasonal ingredients, many of which are grown in our 6,000 m² organic garden.
Following regenerative agriculture principles, we use techniques such as straw mulching and composting to naturally enrich the soil. We also have free-range hens and ducks, which provide fresh eggs and contribute to organic waste management.
When we have a surplus, we donate our produce to local organisations, reinforcing our commitment to the community and promoting a zero-waste model.
A Golf Course in Harmony with Nature
Golf and sustainability can go hand in hand, and at Pula Golf Resort, we have proved it. Our course, redesigned by José María Olazábal, is managed with an eco-conscious approach, minimising its environmental impact through efficient irrigation systems and protected areas that foster biodiversity.
Additionally, we promote high-quality, low-impact tourism, attracting golf enthusiasts who share our commitment to environmental responsibility. In a world where sustainability is paramount, we believe that golf can serve as a tool for conservation and development, and we are proud to be leading this transformation.
A Resort with a Positive Impact on the Community
Our commitment extends beyond environmental responsibility. Every day, we work to create social and economic benefits for the local community, which is why:
We offer training and job opportunities, supporting young professionals in the hospitality and golf industry.
We collaborate with universities and social organisations, promoting inclusivity and equity in tourism.
We preserve Mallorca’s cultural heritage, incorporating traditional elements into our architecture and guest experiences.
We do not just reduce our impact—we strive to generate more resources than we consume, ensuring that tourism becomes a driver of regeneration for the environment.
